(she/her/they/them)
Therapist in Training

Hello! My name is Fernanda, my pronouns are she/they. I am a therapist in training actively working towards my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Brooklyn College, CUNY. As a queer Latinx individual, I strive to create a collaborative and inclusive therapeutic space where people from all backgrounds and identities can feel safe and supported while exploring their experiences.

My own experiences with my intersecting identities inform my practice, providing me with a unique understanding of the complexities and challenges of navigating diverse identities in today's world. I approach therapy with a sense of curiosity and uphold principles that are LGBTQIA-affirming, sex and kink-positive, sex worker-positive, anti-oppressive, and feminist.

I am committed to not only sharing my insights but also actively learning about you, your identities, and what those identities mean to you. My goal is to honor your individuality and ensure that our work together is tailored to your unique experiences and needs. I have experiences working with individuals who are neurodivergent, survivors of SA/DV, asylum seekers, and the LGBTIA community. I believe therapy should be accessible and personal, tailored to meet your needs. If you are curious about working together, please email intake@expressyourselftherapynyc.com to set up a consultation.
